I ran a bunch opf tests today. The developer of USB-UIRT has a small application called LRNHelper that accessed the USB-UIRT.

I can run eventghost and LRNHelper simultaneousl with no issues. But when I startup IRSS and confirm that it iw working correctly, LRNHelper and EventGhost can not get access the the USB-UIRT. Starting up LRNHelper with IRSS running gives a "USB-UIRT not available".

Perhpas it is because IRSS is connecting to the USB-UIRT as a service?

Jon (USBUIRT Developer) sent me an updated uuirtdrv.dll. For the first time, I can run EventGhost and IRSS simultaneously. If I understood Jon correctly, the problem was with the connection from IRSS (as a service) to uuirtdrv.dll. When uuirtdrv.dll was connected to a service, the connection was exclusive.

The change he made seems to have resolved the problem. I am guessing he will update the download on his site when he has the changes finalized.

Thanks for helping.

Take Care

Hi ijourneaux,
I am having problems with usbuirt as well. Could you please attach usbuirt.dll you have and let me know the version of IRSS you are using.

Thanks in advance

Oleg

I exchanged emails with Jon (USB-UIRT developer) and he gave me permission to share the new usbuirtddrv.dll. THis is not a final version. It still has bugs ( I have seen atleast one) but it does seem to make EventGhost and IRSS compatible.

This will need to be copied overtop the one already in the Windows\system32 folder and the system should then be rebooted.

If you observe any quirks, please post the information here.

In hindsight that would have been an acceptible solution. I didn't realize that was the issue until Jon Mentioned it and provided a solution.

Hi ijourneaux,
Thank you for dll provided. Unfortunately it hasn't solved my problem with resume from standby, IRSS service crashes and i am not sure why.
Do you use standby functionaltiy and if yes any problems with irss?
