The best solution would be that every user only downloads the images he really needs. So... if we ignore TheTVDB.com for a moment a solution would be a dedicated website where user can select the images they need from a list (with thumbs) and only download these. In addition there could be an upload function.

A dedicated website sounds like the best thing to me. Did I miss something: Why can't we use thetvdb? I mean, at the end of the day this could be handled similar to the series banners (even if there will be different fan art files for different languages). And the general download code should be available in the MP-TVSeries plug-in.

PS: This would have the advantage that the data wouldn't be wiped with a database cleanup.

G.B.Wolf: I am not sure what you mean with this.

Paul (polargeek) is one of the admins of thetvdb.com. It would increase the bandwidth too much for the online DB (because the images are so much larger than the series/season banners), so right now it looks like this won't be done, which I can understand.

Its not as easy as somebody setting up some webspace, itll also require interfaces to query and all that. And even then, frankly I want to avoid using just "some guys" webspace that may or may not exist for very long.

Right now I'm leaning towards simply putting them into a thread and/or providing regularly updated packs (any volunteers for that task?).

That said, I'm all open for suggestions....

hi yates, Im a newbie as well but your DeadWood would look better if you use the Gradient tool to fade the edge into the black (not sure I know what im talking about :))

Thanks for the advice. I think I know what you mean. I was trying to work out for a while how to fade/blur the image so it wasn't so sharp and edged (without any success). I will check out the Gradient tool when I get home and see how it works and what the effect is.

Still got plenty that I want to create, but thought I would publish these first exactly so that I would get feedback :)

Its nice to see that there are so many disigners out there creating nice Fan Arts.
I currently working on a update of the Fan Art pack.

I have a request, i hope its OK.
I have seen that many Fan Art designers only have one post that they update and add all their created Fan Arts. This is a great idea that makes it easyer to browse through all the fan arts post. But my request is that everyone makes a new post after this post with their new Fan Arts, so i can use this post as a marker and dont need to search all previous post for updates for the next update.

And i hope there are ok for all fan art designers that i add your arts to the pack.

Well, I guess that means that everyone needs to grab those they want from the forum then. It's not really feasable anyways to ask the user to grab a 250 meg file with all fanart created by users, most of which he's never going to use.

So then, please continue using this thread. I'll probably clean out all the chit-chat inbetween into its own thread so this one stays clean with only fanart posted replies.
