Well at least you finally got it to work.
I don't know if you can use both tuners from one card. I see threads about troubles setting up "hybrid" cards. These cards have both analog and digital tuners. I don't know if that makes the HD-3000 a hybrid card.

Channels
Paul, you seem to be the expert, I have deleted my channels and when I go to rescan, it doesnt not re add them... it finds them but says they arent new... I thought I could just delete them and hit scan and re add them...
so I deleted my ENTIRE install twice and reinstalled... with no luck... somewhere it is keeping the config, even after I wipe the media portal directory??
Do you know where this config file is or how to completely wipe out the channels or wipe out a config? I have even gone through the registry looking for this "config"

If that means that I've spent more time on this than I should, then it fits.
Actually I have never deleted channels and rescanned. As for re-installing MP, even after you uninstall there is a folder in the Program Files section for Team-MediaPortal. You have to delete this folder for a clean install.

yeah I nuked the media portal folder... that didnt help... it still thinks the channels have already been found... this sucks... I was so close! I had a tv guide and hdtv for 4 hours .... and no one on the irc channel or these forums seems to know where this config info is getting stored..

This doesn't make sense. On a fresh install there should be no capture card set up yet. No card means no channels.
Is there anything showing under the TV Channels or TV Channel Groups? If so delete all of them.
Under TV Channels there is the option to save your channel list. Did you do this and now MP is finding this list?
Otherwise, try installing MP to a different folder, rather than the default one in Program Files.

I read your other post about this problem. You should not use the set up wizard to scan for channels. Start the MP set up program and scan for channels in Television->Capture Cards (add card).
