VFD showing wrong TV programme info (1 Viewer)

I would imagine (and I'm only specuating here..) that its because when using the TV Server, MediaPortal is just playing a stream so all the tuning etc is just done by an external process (the TV Service) hence MP doesn't really know if a tuning event has occurred until we ask it to show us the OSD with program info - then I'm guessing it queries the TV Service to see whats currently playing, and updates itself accordingly.

Question is, can we get MP to either poll the server say 5 secs after a requested tuning event (so that it updates as to the currently playing show) or somehow get the heartbeat from the server to let the client know whats currently playing?

As I said, that could be total boll()x.. thats just how i figure it works

So anyone managed to figure out whats going on with this ?
How do we get it logged as an official bug? as JoeDalton is no longer around afaik.. unless someone else has taken over development of this ?

I have logged the issue in the bugs forum at https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-shows-previous-channel-when-using-epg-42811/ but no replies as yet - i'll bump it to see if anyoine notices.
