2 things

1. been trying to get MP working with with tve0.3 plugin on an epia-m based machine (windows XP Pro with 1Gb ram) - mp works great until you try and play any video, it looks like its about to play but no video is displayed (video or my tv) DVD player refuses to recognise a DVD is in the drive. Power DVD 7 is installed on this machine and it works perfectly. wiped machine clean and re-installed windows installed powerDvd7 then MP, MP SVN and then the TV plugin... same problem....

these are the log entries:
2007-09-02 19:59:49.866516 [ERROR][MPMain]: RTSPPlayer:exception while creating DShow graph Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {51B4ABF3-748F-4E3B-A276-C828330E926A} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040273. at MediaPortal.Player.VMR9Util.AddVMR9(IGraphBuilder graphBuilder)

2. TV server after tvengine3-08-25-2007--01-23h--Rev15641 appears to be unstable - service stops responding after client tries to connect needing a re-boot (start stop service doesnt work - service stays in stopping state. Nothing is logged. MP with TV plugin is also a lot more stable, but again still suffers intermittent crashes - usually if you go straight to watching tv... for some reason if you play a dvd or music for a few minutes then go and watch tv its fine. Again no errors logged.

plugin from tvengine3-08-25-2007--01-23h--Rev15641 works fine - even with the latest cvs build of media portal. and meadia portal is more stable now compared with two days ago - still suffers occasional crashes in Vista

oh and loading MP can take a VERY long time (a minute or so) at the "loading windows plugins..." stage - on vista especially (and a quad core 2.6Ghz machine with 2 Gb ram).

In all cases tv server has three Novat-T cards in - 1 Gb ram running windows 2003 server. and clients have no tv card.

    Hi,

    1) No bug. The Epia-M has a very crappy on board video card! It does not support VMR9 as renderer. MP only uses VMR9, so video playback won't run properly on that graphics card. You should consider adding a PCI card.
