Hi all,

with MPextended 0.4.3, I do not get videos working (on local machine, localhost:8080). In "Player Direct", just nothing happens, in Flash HQ/LQ/UltraLQ I get the message "Video not found or access denied: /Stream/Movie?item=64&transcoder=Flash&20xQ".

Music/TV/Recordings all work without any problems.

Logs attached

Thanks!

Alfred

I have this problem with Live TV and viewing recordings.

I think it may be to do with permissions on the Temp folder I am not sure.

It only happens if my server restarts and then the server won't be logged in with a user account. And when this happens it seems to give the above error.
I have to login stop mpextended service and then restart mpextended service.

My test build with mpextended 0.5 did not have this problem when there was a restart.

Anyone know how to fix ?

Both your problem should be resolved in MPExtended 0.5.

@AlfredENeuma: The paths to your movies start with file://N:\, and MPExtended doesn't handle paths starting with file:// correctly yet. Remove the file:// prefix in MovingPictures if you want to get it working now.

    Hi Oxan,
    and thanks for the reply.
I have no problem to wait for the solution with 0.5; I am just courious: I did not find any configuration file where I could change the prefix (have been searching for the string "file://N" on complete harddisk. Where should/could I change this?
But, as mentioned: Not important, I can wait for the next version.
    Thx again
    Alfred

You've to change the path to your import directory in Moving Pictures.

hate to resurect this thread... but instead of starting a new one.

pretty much the exact same issue as the OP here.

Currently my MP is set up to scan mapped drives of V:\ For videos, etc for movies. Works fine for MP...
But MP extended, cant use that, it needs to be the UNC name?

So i should set MP to use \\server\drive\folder instead?
(also will have to re-scan databases to update, right for MP?)

MPExtended uses another system user than mediaportal, drive mappings do not exist for system users.
using unc Paths should work if EVERYONE/ANONYMOUS user has read permissions to the share.

Share settings SHOULD be fine on where the stuff is stored.
Made sure, everyone, anon, etc.. currently everyone can access the share.. my wifes pc who has never browsed to it, got in just by clicking on it.. no asking for any form of login/etc.

MPextended it obviously seeing the databased from MP, as it lists all the movie, but just noticed.. on the page where it lists the movie, below, it should show the file size.. etc.. and shows 00mb.. so its definately not seeing the file..
Started this thread to sepparate things.. and have added the log files, etc.
