So I switched over to DXVA2 and it did work the first time i started media portal...i tried it again after a restart but its back to giving the same error. Log files aatched:cry:

It seems that VSFilter is always added to the graph :
[2016-07-05 20:06:03,207] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Check graph connections for: VSFilter (auto-loading version)

Try to uninstall it and try again :)

It seems but no clue why, by using VSFilter, it add VMR9 filter to directshow graph :

    [2016-07-05 20:06:03,240] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - VMR9: Pin: 0 not connected: 80040209
    [2016-07-05 20:06:03,250] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - VMR9: Pin: 1 not connected: 80040209
    [2016-07-05 20:06:03,260] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - VMR9: Pin: 2 not connected: 80040209

So by removing it, only EVR will be added and then it should works.

    Hi :)
I suppose from add/remove program from control panel ?
If it's in use it's surely because you installed it (VSFilter) so try to install it from (like explain above) and/or from start menu -> VSFilter.
I don't have it installed so i can't tell you exactly.

To install LAV X86 version, you need to download and run the LAV installer and just to be sure that X86 is checked :)

Hey... Ummm here's the thing, i never installed VS filter, i just assumed it came bundled with MP, and i cant seem to be able to find it on my system. I reinstalled LAV suite , still getting the same error. This is really getting frustrating :(

No, we don't bundle it. Maybe a codec pack?

and i cant seem to be able to find it on my system.
It's associated with a "VSFilter.dll". Maybe you can find that DLL?
If you find the DLL, don't just delete it. Unregistering it is the best way:
    1. Open command prompt window with administrative privileges.
      1. Click start.
      2. Type cmd.
      3. Hold CTRL and SHIFT then press ENTER/RETURN.
    2. Type cd "<full path to VSFilter.dll">" (for example: cd "c:\Program Files\Codec Pack") then press enter.
    3. Type regsvr32 /u VSFilter.dll then press enter.
After that you could delete the DLL if you want... but if I were you I would just leave it.

Like explain mm, it's not bundle and then surely a codec pack (hell one lol).
Can you upload log to confirm it's always VSFilter present ?
    Thanks :)

...or if you can't go on IRC/webchat (or Sebastiii isn't able to help you), please answer my earlier reply.

I assume remote desktop technologies (RDP, TeamViewer etc.) are not being used at all while testing.

    Please can you provide:
    1. ...log files showing the working scenario (for comparison).
    2. ...screenshots of all the configuration tabs for LAV splitter, LAV video and LAV audio.
