I think this post is for morpheus_xx.

Recently, I changed my MPEG4 filter to ffdshow rev 3535 of August 19 2010, to enable multi audio stream on the video player.

Since, only if the client can see more than one audio track (only on AVI files until now), it freeze when i click the stop, fast forward or rewind button.

    My AVI : XVID + MP3.

    Cheers.

AW: Video Player : Client freeze when stopping a video (ffdshow codec)

I couldn't reproduce such issue. I installed ffdshow_rev3556_20100902_clsid.exe and played my AVC/mp3 movies without problems.

So maybe your ffdshow build has issues? Did you try a newer one?

Do you have logs from the crash?

    Hi morpheus_xx,

As you suggested, I updated my codecs to the last version (KLite 6.6.5), but the problem remains. Might be something on my codecs configuration, cause the same video doesn'n stop well in MP1.1.1...

I must confess I usualy convert multiple audio AVI to MKV, so I didn't take the precaution to check before posting.

After investigate a bit more, it seems the X86 ffdshow audio fillter causes the problem with my X64 system, under certain circonstances. But as MP doesn't handel the X64 codecs, I can't use the X64 ffdshow filters.

If I fond more infos, i'll report, it could be usefull for other people.

So no bug and thanks a lot.

    Smeulf.

    Last news :

Uninstall my f**k**g codec pack, installed only XVID, VodSub and Haali Splitter, now it works fine.

No more ffdshow codecs to handle multiple audio tracks.

Btw, in this config it works well in MP1, but not totally in MP2 : I still can't choose my audio stream in MP2, have to go in haali interface. But i'll try again more configs.

Wiki says : "Ban codecs packs", I did...

Special Tks to iSP of the IRC Channel and to... sorry I forgot his name but he will recognise himself :)

No more problem in the last build. I promiss, one day I'll reinstall my system !
