    well,
    MP is recording shows and movies in subdirectories(e.g. "TV Recordings\Dexter-Premiere\Dexter 20-10-08.ts"), so if you want to automatically cut/convert the files MCEBuddy needs to scan the subdirs. Which it doesn't, at least in my version.

    Hmm, these little differences always tickle me, i do not get sub directories for multiple files of the same show, need to find out why some people get this and others do not.

    Wondering if its because my recording folder is also my timeshifting folder as well, anyway to check for me.
    you should also be able to move all the files out of the sub directories to the main recording folder and remove\reimport them in TVServer config.

    In may case its not only that multiple files of the same show are recorded in subdirs, also a single movie file is in a seperate dir.
    Maybe this has something to do with the comskip files that are created, and therefore put in a directory structure?

    oohhhhh my.....found it...

    it simply the recording settings where you can specify how MP is handling the file name/structure... when you put in \%title%\%title%-S%series%E[%episode%-]%.....

    MP is recording in subdirs....

    Well...lessons learned!

    cheers

    Seidelin has just left me a message saying same thing :), at least there is a way around this so mcebuddy can see all the files :), just shows you never know everything.

    Hi,

    since some here use mcebuddy, i hope someone has an answer.

    I tried it, and it works nice and fast, and has some nice features, but: it makes a mess of the video. I can play the generated h264 file, and it plays even with dxva (only 2-3% cpu usage), but the video jumps back and for. so it play a second, jumps some millisecond back, then play a second and so on.
    And the sound is allways playing nice.

    Someone an idea what this could be? Its the same in WindowsMediaPlayer, graphedit or MediaPortal...

    thnx
    sloty

    hm, seems like the cut window does not have correct id or title set so the id is 1 and that messes up the custom keyboard commands (id 1 is tv window)..

    to see this bug in action do the following (if you're using mce remote, but it can be done in other ways, i'm using keyboard input plugin)

    so in InputDeviceMappings/defaults/Microsoft MCE.xml you have:

    <button name="Back" code="35">
    <action layer="0" condition="*" conproperty="-1" command="ACTION" cmdproperty="10" sound="back.wav" />
    </button>

    add one line so it all looks like this:

    <button name="Back" code="35">
    <action layer="0" condition="WINDOW" conproperty="1" command="ACTION" cmdproperty="0" />
    <action layer="0" condition="*" conproperty="-1" command="ACTION" cmdproperty="10" sound="back.wav" />
    </button>

    so what you did there is disabled the back button on the tv window (you're probably wondering why would you wanna do that for but it's the same with any other command mapped to tv window - this is just an example, example i'm using tho :) )

    now go to videoeditor, select the file and you're in the cut window.. try to exit with back button on the remote.. doesn't work..

    the window id from cut window is 1 and that is not right :) i looked around in the code but couldnt figure out why yet.. maybe someone else can take a look at it..

    Hi,

    I cannot get Video Editor to display the Video. I can select a recorded file, everything plays including audio, the length displayed is correct, playing time updates correctly, but I have no video. In MyTV / Recordings and MyVideo everything plays fine too.

    I tried several Video Decoder (Nvidia Forceware, DScaler5, ffdshow), VMR9 with or without exclusive mode, evr. Always same result.

    Here is my configuration
    TV-Server Version: 1.0.0.0 RC4
    MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0 RC4
    MediaPortal Skin: Blue3
    Windows Version: XP SP3

    HDD: Samsung SP2504C 250GB Sata

    Power Supply: Arctic Silentium TS2 350W
    Remote:
    TV: Optoma H79 / Metz Movea S
    TV - HTPC Connection: DVI / S-Video

    I've attached the logfiles.

    Here is what I've done:

    1.) started MediaPortal and Video Editor
    2.) Selected the File
    3.) Started Play for about 10 seconds
    4.) Stopped Video and closed MP

    Perhaps someone can help me

    Thanks in advance
    Ralph
