Well your on xp, so should be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Appdata\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

If not there, open MP config, user config files link is at top left, the file should be there :)

O.k found it...didn't realise hidden files dont show up in a search.
The relevent entries looked fine, I did what you suggested and renamed the file........same result with the replacement, Think I'll try a reinstall now and moving pictures if that dont work.

    Thanks again for your help.

Sorry...........Just a full mediaportal reinstall (and tv server), The uninstaller seems to work really good now - nothing left behind not even empty folders.

    Regards.

i have the same problem now ... i have been using a combination of moving pictures and mytvseries, and now i want to reenable myvideos for a few tv shows which don't show up in mytvseries. but myvideos shows an empty list. i replaced the mediainfo.dll a few minutes ago, because there was a warning in the event log (something about "wrong image" or "corrupt image") and i hoped replacing it might fix myvideos, but it didn't change anything.

is there anything else i can do other than reinstalling? it took me like 2 weeks to set it up the way i want. ok of course this time it would not take me that long but nonetheless. if there is any info that would help fixing this, i would gladly help.

EDIT: i got it fixed. i edited mediaportal.xml and removed the myvideos section as well as any myvideos# sections i could find. i did also set the myvideos entries in the home and plugins sections to no.
after that i opened the configuration, enabled the plugin and hit the home button. everything works as expected. btw the database has been removed in a previous attempt so that might also be necessary.
if anybody needs the old, obviously buggy mediaportal.xml, i still have it.
