Hi All,

This has only started to happen in the last week or so. When I try to play a video file it takes about 15-20 seconds to start whereas prior to this it was pretty much instant.

I'm running MP 1.13 on Windows 10. The files are stored on a NAS on 100 Mbit LAN and the file type appears to make no difference.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

Dave

    AOK Nosher.

Can I suggest you clean out logs 1st and keep track of what events at what times and post those with logs & observed behaviour:)

    Hi JCMP,

When you say clean out logs, is that simply a case of deleting the contents of this folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

    Cheers!

Hi - yes, that should do it.

However, recalled issue I had quite some time ago, slow start on videos - turned out new video I'd added but not viewed was corrupt - in this case MovingPictures was trying to read the meta data - I ended up using nettrace to to find issue [file being on NAS] - possible short cut, check out media added around the time the problem started.

    Cheers - JCMP
