i have selected the screen in configuration. (there is only one screen available to select (TV)). nothing change. I deactivated the external display plugin... no change... i attach again the logfile
i have reinstalled everything, Windows and MP. It looks a little bit better now but I still can't fix my problem with this Plugin. Once again I attach my logfile and perhaps you can help me now.
Ahh, one more question: Do I need to install the Implemented Non-Linear (Smart) Stretching of 4:3->16:9 patch ?
I managed to get the source code for the previos version, but I do not remember where and how I got it. I would like to have the source code of the new version, if possible, to include more autoswitching modes depending on the size of the black bars, specially the 14:8 zoom when black bars are not very large. I'm doing this for personal use only, and I will pass the code to the plugin author for inclusion in any new version, if the author wants.
I have a 1680x1050 LCD display. The only thing I need is fake 16:9 to zoom. It don't work. At my MediaPortal.log I found the resolution 704x576. I tried this but it doesn't work. I also tried the standard resolutions in the guide at the download page.
Hi,
I suppose this plugin can solve even my problems with the ratio but I'm not really sure what to to.
I attached my MediaPortal.log
No matter which broadcast I choose, my video AR always remains 4:3, so that means my aspect ratio is always 1,333 or what?
Is this correct or is something going wrong (maybe in my brain )
How does the plugin determine tho origin video mode of the certain broadcast?
Need some help here to get this tool running...
Well. I'm a bit confused by some entries of your log file.
In your case there are entries like :
PlaneScene: video AR : 4:3
But normally those entries look like :
PlaneScene: video AR : 768:576
or
PlaneScene: video AR : 1024:576
I'm currently not sure what the reason of this is. The planescene log entries are not generated by my plugin, they are written by MP itself. Can you please enable the verbose logging of my plugin (and create at least one rule even if it does nothing).
Maybe I can see a bit more that way.
Which version of MediaPortal do you use exactly? (i.e. which SVN)
It is good possible that something has changed inside of MP and I have to update my plugin as well.
The second thing is the codec you use as mpg2 codec... currently you use the "CyberLink SAC Video Decoder(PDVD7 HomeNetwork)". Did you try the normal Cyberlink SD codec as well?
I did some more tests. (based on rc2 with some SVN's and PDVD8)
There are indeed some changes on the MediaPortal side which are responsible for the new format of the VideoAR values in the log files. But this does not lead to any problems with the current ViewModeSwitcher version.
If the value remains "4:3" even if your source changes to 16:9 then this most likely a codec issue. With the PDVD8 codec (even the HomenetWork thingy) was switching between 16:9 and 4:3 perfectly.
