Just as a after comment, this must be one of the most under rated, under used plugins going, the ability to have the aspect ratio change automatically is a must in my opinion.

I think people consider it to hard to set up, its not, might be a bit time consuming, but then you can backup your settings forever once done.

Does this work for all formats, or just for .mpg?

Could someone perhaps attach some more setting files? I've only found 1 .zip with 4:3 settings. I mostly watch xvid and x264 formats and I've set up two presets, one for 4:3 material and one for 16:9, using the guide in the first post, but I don't get any auto-switching sadly.

This may need to be checked in MP log, but i'll post mine which was quickly setup and using chemelli's patch.

This is designed for PAL B Video, PAL I only affects audio so most of Europe should be ok

Are you using 1.0.0.1?

no MP1.0.0.0, just the core.dll from this post https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/350529-post115.html

So that may well be my problem, trying to not update at the moment, as just too busy to have to put things right if they go wrong.

I add the patch and the new v2 plugin to MP 1.0, but can't see any difference in options/configuration of MP and the plugin.

Will this patch add a new aspect ratio "Smartstretch" or will be "Stretch" option have functonality/behaviour like smartstretch?

I did some work on this plugin (code cleanup) on top of introducing "Smart stretch"

EDIT: Updated again the code so that it doesn't rely anymore on hardcoded name for zoom type but query MP to get them. Will work with all version of MP until MediaPortal.xml keys are unchanged

EDIT2: The Team decided to change the key in MediaPortal.xml to be congruent. So again an update to this great plugin to handle the new key allowarnonlinear

I have a problem with the new Version: If letter box is detected than zoom is set to "original". With the "old" 0.3 version it's set to "zoom" (as aspected).

See log files and settings.
