Anybody running VISTA based network clients with non VISTA server (XP or w2k)

Does the poor VISTA networking with other OS cause severe problems, MP lockups etc (that realy annoying VISTA white screen waiting for program to respond), the VISTA firewall constantly forgetting MP Netwrok rights !!!

Any workarounds you have found etc .

    Hi,
I'm using 1 client running vista x64(as administrator) & 1 client on vista x86, both runs fine without problems. As a server i use a Win XP Pro & a MCE (test computer)...

The firewall remember MP's rights here, but both runs with administrators right,

    Regards
    Roy

I have this exact same problem here. I have a win MCE server with the tvcards in it running the back end, trying to setup 1 vista laptop and 1 vista desktop machines as front ends. I can get a connection but it hangs when i go 'tv on'... im sure there is a way!

I have both firewalls disabled (on clinet and server) as well. Network is via 100mbs eth.
