"VMR9-checkbox" without function ??? (1 Viewer)

Hello,
could it be, that the "VMR9-checkbox" is without function in mp-config

Because this I mean, that VMR9 is always ON.

I ask because I try to run mp on my second monitor.

If I use "nero-showtime" or Power-DVD I have no problems on the second monitor

I think, if I can deactivate VMR9, it runs good on my sec. monitor

I thought, I can deactivate the complete VMR9, but this isnt possible:sorry:

But why power-dvd runs with 10-20% cpu, if a video is playing ?

If I bring up the mp-window (with main-menu without any video is playing!!!!) on my second monitor, I have 50-70% cpu.

If TV runs or video is playing, I get 70-100% cpu

Is VMR9 the reason ???

.........Can I run MediaPortal properly on a secondary display?MediaPortal can not run properly on a secondary display. It can run on your second monitor (or TV set) only if you set it up as "primary screen".

This is because MediaPortal uses DirectX 9 acceleration and Windows XP is only able to support DirectX 9 acceleration on primary screen. Thus the display used for MediaPortal needs to be the first or "primary" display in windows..........




I think, it could be run with two graphic-cards, then I have two primary displays.

Sorry no - you could ask microsoft to suppy a patch for DirectX which would allow this but I guess that won't lead to any result
