Wake On Lan (WOL) feature inside MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Hi,

we planning to add WOL feature for MediaPortal. If your movies/pictures/music are on another computer (not in the TV server) or NAS and you send standby when you don’t use it, you will like this feature.

You need to enable to wol feature on share level but it will work if you use title view too.

If we want to show if a share is offline we need two new icon (defaultNetworkOffline.png and defaultNetworkBigOffline.png) in every skin. They will be shown if the share is offline in the root view.

Titan should not be used testing?

If you make a defaultNetworkOffline.png and defaultNetworkBigOffline.png for titan or any other skin, you can use it for testing.

Probably didn't include the modified string_en.xml. I see a blank popup again.

WAY faster with offline shares. Very very usable!! Thanks regeszter

The red globe is very large and very scewed in the right half of DW skin. Ghehehe.


Also, In this view you see the path of the NAS Share is seen as a 'local' folder (Mapped Network Drive)
The "Main Share." is put in configuration.exe as \\MAINPC\folder.

Just for information purpose: I just found out. When ALL my things are switched off (HTPC+DesktopPC+NA) the NAS awakens spontaneously.... scary... But the awaking because of MP start seems to be a number of random lucky hits.

Can you test this behaviour with 1.6 Pre or "1.6"?

I just saw this and wanted to ask a few things about it before I upgraded to 1.5.

Is this already in 1.5?
If I use MyTVseries and Moving pictures will this WOL feature work?

no WOL is added to offcial MP support yet, only the plugin can do it.

This feature should be in 1.7 if everyone play the rules !
