Watch and Record at the same time? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have only one DBV-S2 card (FloppyDTV).

I have tried to watch and record at the same time channels on the same frequenty.

For example 12574 H

With channels: BVN, Film 1.3, Net 5, SBS 6, TMF, Veronica/Jetix

CAM: CanalDigitaal (original)

I can only record 2 encrypted and watch 1 FTA channel at the same time.

Why it is not possible to record all channels on the same transponder?

Is this limitation of my CAM (CanalDigitaal) that it only can decode 2 encrypted channels at the same time (I don't know) or is this limitation of TV Server?

It's usually the cam thats limited, what have you setup in Server config regarding cam limit?

Cam enabled and presend for this card - check

This card can decode 0 channels simultaneously

0 means NO limit?

CAM model: default (another option is Astoncrypt 2)

Allow this card to be used for EPG grabbing - check

Allow this card to be preloaded - check


What can I change?

no 0 means 0.. , set the limit to 4 or so, to try....

When I try 4 than I can only record and watch 1 channel at the time.

If I try to watch another (1 is recording) there is popup channel is encrypted.....

With 0 I can record/watch 2 channels.....

Setting the value to 0 will disable the limit completely."

I think 0 can not disable limit of my card (which is 2, I think).

I have try to select Astoncrypt 2 and 4

Still only 2 channels that I can watch/record at the same time.

The problem is that I read that there are people with Set-top box that can watch/record 4 channels with the same CAM.

This is correct, but it is depending on your cam. E.g. Alphacrypt can decrypt 4 channels afaik....
