what were those changes?

I do not know exactly, but the changes have affected the folder saving reports and collecting all the information for the TV Server, hence most likely the change to increase rights.

For Mediaportal you don't need to upgrade rights, for TV Server I think you do ...

This makes sense.
Can you make this action dependent from if the user as administrative rights or not?

I think, Watchdog started:

• with MP - UAC - bad, and not needed
• manually - UAC - Ok

Not EXACTLY (but a bit) related with this but :
Why is it possible to move client logs somewhere else (in my documents for example, no UAC) when server logs can't be moved and, need to stay in progfiles or progdata folder ?

Before this changes, logs saved on desktop, now you can choose folder for save.
But fir collect logs maybe need more rights...

Yep for WatchDog.
I wrote for, maybe, going a bit more far.

I see in the ticket that it also should be possible to stop/start tvservice, even on remote tvservice. That is a real pain to make it work reliably, i would skip that requirement

Was for me, my server don't have screen, so more easy to handle tvservice from client, during testing.
And for have cleans logs, need to restart tvservices each times.
