Hi all

Im a new but so far very happy MP newbie; just slowly working through the few issues that I have......

I have a strange problem when watching my recorded TV...

The program records ok, with pre & post recording buffers all correct.

If I watch the recorded program, and dont FF at all, everything is fine, however, if I FF at any stage the counter skips ahead of the picture (and sound) and over the course of say a 1 hr show, what happens is that the counter reaches the "end" of the recording and kicks me back out to the "recorded TV" screen; and I miss the end of my show.

Since i started some detective work, I've found that if at any point I stop playback, then restart it again, selecting the "restart from xxx" option, MP corrects itself; ie: playback will start from much earlier in the recording than where I stopped it (time counter will remain the same)

I've also found that this is only a problem when i use the FF x2 & x4 functions; x8 and above works correctly........

I hope my explanation makes sense.......I've searched the forums and havent found reference to a fault quite like this. Although I did notice some other problems associated with the FF x2 & x4......

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Barry

There are some known issues with FF/RW in MP 1.1.x - there are improvements/fixes coming in MP 1.2.0 beta (not yet released), meanwhile using skip steps (arrow keys) works quite well :)
