Hi All.

I have today downloaded the media portal.. cool tool..


i tried to look into to the add-ons , and found a webbrowser(i have downloaded the MozillaControl1712.exe and webbrowser.zip file.

inside the webbrowser.zip, there is a readme text, but this only tells me where the 3 dll files should be placed.

i need help to place the rest of the files..

First install the Mozilla Control anywhere on your computer. After that, you only need the three dll files in the right directory to use the webbrowser plugin. The rest of the files in the zip are the source code.

i need to know where to put the source code. the two other steps i have performed...

should i see a menu called webbrowser when i turned on media portal ?

You don't need to put the source code anywhere, unless you want to reprogram the plugin.

You have to start MediaPortal setup and configure the webbrowser from the plugins section before it can be used from within MediaPortal.

ok got that..

i still seem to have a problem with that plugin, i cannot seem to configure it

it gives me a enception error, i tried to regsvr32 the 3 *.dll files, no good..

does this happen often.. ?

I can't really give you a good answer with the available information. Please note that the latest version of the webbrowser plugin only works with the later SVN releases of MediaPortal. If you are using this combination and it still doesn't work, you could try posting your logfiles and I will try to help you.

• Did you download the Webbrowser plugin from Sourceforge or from the MediaPortal plugins page? Only the one from Sourceforge works with the newest MP version.
• Did you install the latest SVN version of MediaPortal?
• Did you enable the plugin after installing?

or... you can try tenfootbrowser. but it's not a plugin, it's independent app that can be run from mp, as an addon. it has some nifty features tho. specially made to help surfing from the sofa with remote control, no kbd required.
