It seams like importing channels from tvserver i broken in 1.0.1. Another user has reported the same in this thread web-epg - MediaPortal Forum

Hi,
This works good here, but you need to configure MP client first, which means open MP Configuration -> Television -> TV Client & fill in TV-Server name & click ok to save & open WebEPG-Conf again.
