WebEPG and OzTivo - Username and Password? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I've searched the net and these forums to no avail. Using the latest stable Media Portal and latest version of WebEPG, I cannot use the OzTivo epg channels. Running webepg.exe just closes instantly (checking in Task Manager). I believe it's because I need to put my username and password somewhere, but can anyone tell me in which xml file, or in what format? I found reference to it in another thread, but the format of the xml file seems to have changed since then.

Many people say they have it working. How?

Thanks,
Tyson

this is how -

add the following to your WebEPG.xml file:

Code:

1

minnie.tuhs.org

xxxxx

xxxxx

with your login and password subsituted for the xxxx's :)

    duckwing06,

Have you resolved this problem? I am having the same problem now since the need to use wepepg again following dugg being discontinued. It worked fine about a month ago and I am using the same xml's from before. Anybody got this working atm?

Yes, it is working fine for me - like you, I was using it a month or so ago, and just tested it now and it is still working...:)

Are you able to access your OzTivo account directly via a browser and check your account setup - make sure that you have the preferred download format as XMLTV selected in User Preferences?

I haven't re-setup my OzTivo yet, but I think you have to include at least one channel through the Tivo site as part of your profile. Otherwise, I don't think the script will supply anything.

Mind you, it's been a while since I looked into it, so I could be way off.

    Taipan/squidina,

Yes to all of the above. Works fine if grabbing off different sites eg ABC and SBS but when grabbing from OzTivo get the following error in the webepg error log.

31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: abc-nsw@abc.net.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: abc2@abc.net.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: nbn@ninemsn.com.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: primen@seven.com.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: sbs@sbs.com.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: sbs2@sbs.com.au grabber error
31/08/2006 7:34:57 AM [ERROR] WebEPG: ChannelId: sc-nsw@ten.com.au grabber error

When accessing one day via the browser the url is different to the one accessed in the epg log. Couldn't cut and paste url as it showed incorrectly.
I followed the url shown in the epg log and returns a page error. The end of the url is view&data as opposed to the browser which was view&data2.

Has there been a change to the web epg files maybe as I am using XML's I have used for ages as some of my regional channels have never been added to the xml's and I had to continually alter them on every new update. Any clues?

Found the problem. Looks like the 6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml file was updated and I was using an old one.

    Thanks for the replys.

How do you mean you were using an outdated 6-minnie_tuhs_org.xml file? WebEPG has been grabbing fine for a week and as of last few days its stopped working ... any pointers would be helpful - I've tried looking for this file in isolation on the net to get an updated one but cannot find it ...

WebEPG and OzTiVo have been working fine for me too, but it looks like OzTiVo have made some changes to the guide format in the last week that need to be updated into WebEPG.

I have PM'd James (the author of WebEPG) with the information, so hopefully he will have a solution for us soon....:)
