WebEPG and OzTiVo have been working fine for me too, but it looks like OzTiVo have made some changes to the guide format in the last week that need to be updated into WebEPG.

I have PM'd James (the author of WebEPG) with the information, so hopefully he will have a solution for us soon....:)

I'm only getting a 1kb file ie. just header information in tvguide.xml - are you getting the same issue, or are you getting the normal size file (250+kb) but format is wrong?

BTW I can log into Oztivo site and see everything setup properly including selecting XMLTV as format.

Same here, I am also getting a 1kb file. Only happened in the past few days. I can login fine to the site and view the guide etc using the login and password in the XML file.

Yes, I am getting the same 1kb file......:(

If you take a look at:-

    http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/tvg...nday&type=view&data=13399&data2=ABC-Vic POST:

    you will get this message:-

The XML dump from tvguide.pl has gone away. Please use the URL
    http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/xmlguide.pl with no parameters
to get the XML data for all of your stations for today onwards.

I am assuming that OzTiVo made these changes since last Friday (the last time I ran WebEPG successfully) and that is why we are not getting any EPG data....

Yeah seems as though you just need to go to that link, enter your username and password and the guide is there. Shouldn't be too hard to fix hopefully.

FYI, the OzTivo change was a while ago, but they only cut off the old page on Thursday. Until WebEPG is updated, you can try one of the following:

    1. Try using the grabber here: http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~willu/xmltv/tv_grab_au_reg.html

    Or (easier option)

    2. Go to http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/xmlguide.pl
(you may need to log in), and save the file that is generated as tvguide.xml in the xmltv folder for MediaPortal. Make sure you wait until the page is fully loaded to save it, as it can take some time! You will need to set up your channel names in MediaPortal so they are exactly same as those listed in OzTivo & in this xml file.

I'm missing something ... I've saved the file from http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/xmlguide.pl as tvguide.xml and put it into XMLTV directory. I've renamed my channels to match this file but when I try to import I get "No Channels Found". Someone else made a comment that there is no +1000 in this formatted file ... are we sure they've not changed the format?? Only just switched from DUGG this week and now this .... frustrating!

Hi DogBoy1169 - if you are missing something you aren't the only one. Getting exactly the same problem as you when trying to import the saved xml from the site - no channels found. Frustrating - perhaps I should just go and watch some TV!

I think the problem actually is as the error states "No channels found". If you look at the XML from the link, there are no "channel" tags in the resultant xml ( if you have an older file you can see them at the top of the file ).

If you want to fix it manually until WebEPG is sorted, you'll need to add lines like
    Code:
    <channel id="ABC 2"><display-name>ABC 2</display-name></channel>

at the top of the file. The channel id is the channel text at the top of each XML element ( in this case, "ABC 2" ). The display name is the channel name in MP ( this is all from memory, and I have been watching the footy and drinking beers, so I think I'm right anyways ;) )

You'll need to add one for each channel listed in the XML, but once it's done you should be able to copy/paste it each time you retrieve the file.

If you don't want to change the channel names in MP, you can of course do a search/replace for all the channel names, but that seems like a lot of work :D

Further to my last post, I notice they've upgraded BladeRunner for MCE boxes. I can't remember if the resultant XML works with MP, but it may with a bit of "tweaking". I haven't tried it, but for those who are feeling brave, give it a shot here.

It's supposed to be a lot faster now. One guy reckons cable TV downloads in around 5mins, down from the usual 25-30 which is great news. Hopefully WebEPG will be the same when it's fixed up.

Legend - you are a life saver! I just needed to add all the channel names. And as you say, the channel id is the channel from the TIVO output and the display name matches the MP channel name (no need to rename anything).

Now ... if only this can all be automated again!
