Will there be a problem with the "integrated" display-plugin by JoeDalton, too? I don't want to use LCDSmartie - it gives me 30-45% cpu load while MP is running :(((

What is in your config.ini file.
I used the one you supplied in your zip ~ 2 weeks ago.
There were kind of 20 screens or so..

Using my own config to display just a few funny details with 3-4 screens sank cpu load to 3-5%.

Furthermore JoeDalton's plugin shows "selected items" so I can basically browse my collection whereas the version of your plugin I used couldn't do this :-(

In general I would like to use a programm like LCDSmartie because you can choose to display stuff like "free space on recording disk" etc.

If you managed to get the load < 10% I'd certainly change and help you testing ;)

    Oh yes it can :D

    Try this command:

    $dll(LCDMediaPortal.dll,5,#selecteditem,)

    /Peter

You said nothing about CPU-Usage ;)

Do I now have to tweak myself a config or is there a working one which behaves almost similar to the integrated plugin?

I should have put a disclaimer on that file  It was lugiber who provided it.

Can you try removing one of the actions. If you either edit the config.ini file and remove Action26, or through the GUI remove the action with
    Code:
    $dll(LCDMediaPortal.dll,6,4,0)

Can you let me know if that helps with the CPU ?

P.S. I'm working on a new version that should reduce the CPU overhead when using lots of Actions.

Have you tried the config.ini that comes in the main MPLCDSmartie.zip file. That is the one I use and it doesn't use too much CPU. It all depends on what you want to display.

EDIT: Can we take this discussion over to the LCDSmartie Plugin thread. I don't want to swamp the WebInterface thread with queries about my plugin.

And i can schedule a record if i'm not at home: with my Palm (TH55) and my mobile phone, i can connect to my PCHC from anywhere and schedule a record that i've forgot

How do you do that? WAP hasn't been included yet, I think. Is it the combination of your mobile and your Palm?

Can you give a brief tutorial?

    Thanks in advance

Ok, a very brief tutorial

I have installed MPWebControl and configure it on my PCHC, where there is MP. All must work in local.
I use a webservice like no-ip.com to have a dns that is everyday update automaticaly. I have an adress like mypchc.no-ip.com
And i have open the port 80 on my firewall.

On my Palm, with my mobile phone, i connect to internet (it depends of your hardware). I have a soft on my Palm, "Netfront", which can go to internet with normal webpages. I tape the adress "http://mypchc.no-ip.com:80" . Here, the soft ask me the login and password ("mpuser" and the password that you have enter in the MPWebcontrol configuration).
And i have the MPWebcontrol interface on my Palm ! And here you can schedule yours records when your're not at home.
