    i have a PDA with a wap-flatrate. i would love to access my HTPC when i'm on the road. it works actually, but the frontend is pretty much unusuable on my PDA. i know there is a wap-version but it seems to be for mobile phones - anyway i can't access it with my PDA. is there any chance to get a PDA friendly html version.

    i always thought this already existed but when i searched it i didn't found it so i guess it was only the wap-version i saw

    No, there is currently no PDA version of MPW. I think the lord started one once, but never finished it. And I will definately concentrate on the "Web-MPW" first after WAP and then maybe PDA. But it's all so slow, wish I had more time...

    smnnekho (don't think I TYPED your nickname, I just copied it!), what prohibits you from using the current webinterface in your PDA?

    what doesn't work?

    maybe you should just look for a better web browser for your PDA?

    apart from that it's way to 'large' (with large i really mean the filesize but also the resolution) e.g. the displayed shows from EPG where normally i hoverimage appears is at least not 'clickable' with my pocketIE. but you're right, i should try another browser. The problem is the WAP flatrate... needless to say how expensive wap is, and i didn't want to risk one wrong setting resulting in three-digit mobile bills (-;

    for the wap-part. it just asks my if the file shoud be downloaded. the problem is that it's a wap site, but the explorer is expecting a html, because the apache is accessed via html.

    anyway, i'll figure something out for sure (-;

    there are some (OLD) WAP browsers for pocketpc... look for them
    (although I wouldn't trust them - WAP is a dying technology)

    Pocket Internet Explorer (Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 SE and Windows Mobile 5) supports WAP, no problem with this. Besides we already have a desktop class browser: Opera 8.60 :) .

    I've used MPW for a long time after it was released. But at some point I did a clean install and since then I've been using VNC instead (in part due to some problems with MPW) :( . But it's a great plugin; I'm waiting for a final release to get it again :) .

    We're currently working on a completely rewritten version of the plugin. This makes us independent from changes within MP and will also (hopefully) improve stability.

    There is no estimated releasetime for the new version!

    The old MPW (at least the web part) should still work with MP 0.2. But nothing will be done on this version anymore.

    Once the new WEB part of MPW is finished we might think about mobile versions.

    Thanks for that Maschine i cant wait for the new plugin as this is one of my favourite features, but i do hope that eventually a new mobile version is developed as this is yet another thing that is making MP stand miles above other apps.

    if there is anything i can do to help just ask, unfortunatly im not a programmer though :(
