For hibernation to work, all hardware must be able to support it. That includes PCI cards. It's possible that you have a PCI card which don't support it making the computer unable to hibernate (an old TV tuner for instance). With my Asus A7N8X Dlx (1.04) I was able to hibernate, but suspend didn't work (S1 or S3). There is a tool from MS to monitor this process and see where it fails, it's the same that optimizes boot speed.
    thank you for the tips!

therefore a modified version of Maschine`s WakeOnLane tool could be a great alternative to the hibernate mode.

    Fantastic tool, one little question...

How can I link to a batch file, so through the browser you can start a batch file which could update the XMLTV file, or compress recordings? Sure I can link to one at the moment, but it just opens the file in the browser, instead of running it.

I know XHTML and design stuff backwards, but some of this back end stuff is out of my depth!

you could use the windows scheduler for that. if you want to launch something when the pc is started (after WakeOnLan) you could use autorun to start them.

    Guys,

Just installed it and works great. Only problem I have is that I get layout errors on the guide page, quite alot. Sometimes it works, but alot of the time I get some weird error. I believe this is when the guide data has some sort of special characters or something that is misinterpreted.

    The result looks like this:
    guide.GIF

The returned HTML for this part looks like this:

    Code:
    <td onclick="location='index.php?page=c_detail2&showid=7551&channel=58';" colspan="30" style="border-style: solid; border-color: rgb(174, 174, 174); border-width: 0px 1px 1px 0px; overflow: hidden; font-size: 9px; z-index: 1000; background-color: rgb(236, 236, 236);" onmouseover="this.style.background='#FFFFFF';return overlib('	<table style=&quot;z-index:1000;&quot;>	<tr style=&quot;z-index:1000;&quot;>	<td align=&quot;center&quot; style=&quot;width:110px;z-index:1000;&quot;><img src=&quot;gfx/nochannellogo.gif&quot; alt=&quot;orf2 o&quot; height=&quot;64&quot; width=&quot;64&quot; />

Another example (maybe to help you track the issue):

    Code:

    Thnx for your effort.

    Hi Inker,

Have you upgraded to latest version ? Take a look at our homepage - there might a newer CVS available of the webinterface.

I seem to be havign issues with just the normal mpw, I downloaded the lates link from mpw(with no cvs) Followed the insall correctly, and checked the right thing on apache. But for some reason the topbar says media portal isnt open. I even tried closing MP and launching through the web, it launches it the page refreshes, then displays the same error - "media portal must be open and the databse refreshed... I dont know what the database refresh thing is about.

Strange thing is the current screen grab works and all that. Any one have any clue?

Which version of MP ? and have you restarted the Apache service after changing the thing on the service?

I just installed MPW on a CVS build of 20th. I for some reason can not see the images for the web remote or the screen shots. I followed the complete instructions for installing MPW. Any suggestions to try out?
