Weird UI Rendering Issue - Looks Like Thunderbolts (1 Viewer)

I've recently installed Media Portal following a shift away from XBMC and I love it, but for one thing.

I'm really stuck on how to describe it, so there's a video file here to review: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5644761/mp.mp4.

It's a series of artefacts that flash out from the centre of the screen and is particularly prevalent from 45s in when the tv playback starts (so it may be processor-related)

I'm completely stuck on what to do.

What I do know:
1. I've tested three skins and it's happening across all of them;
2. It's not impacting video playback, it's only the MP UI (this is visible when the TV is playing in the video);
3. As I think it might be processor related (and this might sound weird), I wonder whether it's anything to do with the Windows 7 Spinning Wheel behind the UI).

I've search high and low and can't find anyone else who has had this provblem. It's not impacting functionality but it is incredibly distracting and kind of ruining the experience.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Dan

    Close MP delete all logs then open MP and replicate the issue, after that zip all logs not just the one and post here ;)

    Your temps must get fairly high in that chassis with the dual 6981, anyway you should still be ok even with the intel 4000 graphics so some questions.
    Do you have vsync enabled ?
    Do you have aero enabled ?
    Is your intel 4000 driver up to date ?
