Digging around I have some export configs, but last one seems to be March 2022 :(

Tried various versions, even 1.31 x86 but alas it always comes up with the SQL test and fails, seems a fair few posters having similar issues, but no easy fix.

I guess it's an afternoon of attempting to reinstall, and setup again.

The trouble I have these days is remembering everything, I do have notes, but they don't always make sense nowadays.
Which version of the MySQL database you have currently installed?
Can you connect to your DB with MySQL Workbench ?

Hi Pablik. Thank you for your reply.

Using MySQL Workbench I can connect to the database using root and MediaPortal as the password. Its version 5.6.10

However, I have now uninstalled MediaPortal, although it doesn't seem to fully uninstalled. When I run MP configuration it tells me that the TV Plugin is v 1.33 and and MPConfig is 1.35.

I'm trying to install 1.35 x64, where I previously was running 1.31 x86, and tried various other versions as suggested.

It also doesn't give me the option to watch TV in the installer, ultimately I just want TV server on this box, we actually watch on other PC's.

I have a HD Homerun tuner, so no tuner present in the PC.

Well, I'm making progress, decided to try 1.35 x86 and that asks me if I want to watch TV (x64 version doesn't), I then get the advanced setup option and have installed just as a dedicated TV server, and its passed the DB connection test.

Edit: My other v1.31 installations don't seem able to connect, now to sort that out.

Result, it works on the two PC's we use for watching TV :D I've not lost anything by the looks of it either, all channels etc still setup.

Just my office PC won't connect, which I only use for testing things anyway (I tried updating that this morning as well), but I'll uninstall and install fresh on that.

PS. Exported all settings, so I've got an up to date version.
