I have upgraded MP + TVE3 SVNs at least twenty times. I have always uninstalled older TVE3 first before installing the newer one, and haven't had any problems.

A couple of days ago I noticed after the installation process that MP didn't show any recorded programs on the screen. It was empty. I have stored recorded programs to TVE's folder. Has there been a change in the uninstall process lately - one that would empty the folder completely?

I also noticed that recorded shows screen doesn't seem to work anymore at all. I did a short manual recording, and the screen was empty? I also downgraded to an older SVN but it functioned the same way. Log included.

See the following quote by an Admin in another thread:
new installer has a option to remove _all files_.
    guess you enabled it? :D

    Thanks.

Actually I just noticed that I had a different kind of issue and lots of bad luck.

It seems that the table 'recording' in MySql had "crashed", and when I repaired it the recorded shows were shown. However I had already uninstalled the latest SVN once and installed an older SVN... And this had deleted the folder!

So now the recording should work again - but bye bye for all existing recordings.

You can try something like File Scavenger to undelete the recordings. Works great but it's not free.
Alternatively, you can try this free program, but I have not used it myself so I can't promise anything.

Do you mind telling me how you repaired the "crashed" recordings table in MySQL... I'm not really familiar with databases + software  .

    Thanks

Just install the MySQL GUI tools and log in to the DB using MySQL Admin. Using the program you can view the list of tables in the database, and on the list you can easily see which table(s) have crashed.

Let me know if you need more exact instructions, I can check it out today evening when I get near my HTPC.
