Why are ISO files not natively supported (1 Viewer)

    Anyone know of any mounting software other than demon tools (thats free and safe)? Just noticed its now software which requires currency to purchase!!

    I've used Virtual Clone Drive for several years now with MediaPortal and MovingPictures and it works great for me, using it with DVD and BR iso files.
    Used to have Daemontools, but like VCD a lot more.

    I'm still using daemon toolz, works well and is 100% free and you can choose not to install the bloatware by paying careful attention to what you tick / untick during the installation

    I think we all know which 3. party apps there is to choose from........

    What topic is trying to state:
    -Why isn't ISOs natively supported?
    -If possible - How can we achieve it? And is anyone interested in the development of this?

    Well, if you want you can have a look at MP2 - there you already have full internal iso support :D

    What is MP2 supposed to mean? Media Player 2 ? Mpeg 2 ? Sorry but that is not helping anyone.
