    What is real interesting is that somehow MP is configured to us IP rather than name when accessing his media

    @Vasilich: There are 219 items including 17 subfolders. Not too much, i think.

    @regeszter:
    If i disable the file existance cache, every time i open the folder, it takes about 22 sec.
    If i enable the cache, i open the folder first time about 22 sec, afterwards reopening about 12 sec.

    if i disable thumbs creation where possible, second opening falls to about 5 sec. First opening still 22 sec.

    Thank you for helping.[DOUBLEPOST=1389357350][/DOUBLEPOST]@breese:
    I didn´t use the mapped drive name, i configured the smb share. I read somewhere, this would be faster in MP. Do i understand you right?

    Is there a guide somewhere on how to speed up NAS browsing? I've had a lot of incidents lately where a movie or TV show would just stop playing mid-through and get marked as 100% Watched. The logs just say Playback stopped. I think this has something to do with them being on my NAS, but I never had this issue until about 2 months ago.

    My tipps (maybe not feasible)
    1. try use lan cable ;)
    2. try not to use smb proocol, just the network name of the nas, like \\*nas.name*\*path.to.media*

    I use like this without problems. I dont use mapped drives as they not always reconnect on resume from standby.

    Can you make a new test with the attached WindowPlugins.dll? It won solve your issue but it will generate more logs for me.

    I have same issue and I think it is movie releated. It may be codec issue.

    1. Already do this
    2. In my logs I see \\emphaticnas\TV-Shows\show.mkv so yes again

    I have same issue and I think it is movie releated. It may be codec issue.

    Yet when I play the same file again without skipping past the previous stop time, it plays without problems past the same. Sometimes I do end up with a broken file, but it's been a long time ago now. This is something else entirely.

    Well me too. It sometimes hits me when watching movies after about an hour. But it starts playing stuttered. It does not stop suddenly.
