    Help.................
    Fast forward/rewind of live tv.
fast forward/rewind of recordings or videos which have been recorded by medial portal using .ts files does not work correctly. ie. 32 x = about 3 frames a minute

If you change recording files to mpeg the speed improve greatly but the video stays on the inital frame.

I would like some advice. I have tried all sorts of combinations of codecs which does not seem to make any difference.

The only file that seem to work are ones https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
:(recorded on 2.0.3 & not using tve server.

What happend to dvr-ms files ??????:(

If you do not want ts or mpeg files and want to go back to the internal TV Engine of mediaportal which uses dvr-ms files, uninstall the tvserver and client plugin.

You will then be able to add\configure as before.

FF with ts files does only show frame every so often, this is normal, especially if you have EVR enabled.

    Rewind/FF

    I Have Attached the logs.
I would like to use Ts files why are they so slow.?
The Machine I Use is an Elonex Lumina 32 Inch Screen . I also use a |Elonex excentia which has the same problems
There has got to be an easier way og getting the machine spec than tranposing the harware tree onto a file !!!!!!

I had problems FF & Rew with .ts for some time with MediaPortal, until I noticed that the DVB fix on the MediaPortal requirements page had been updated with a newer fix - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...channel-scan-crash-windows-xp-6344/#post43611. After installing the newer fix, FF & Rew of .ts files works fairly well with most codecs on my htpc. However, having re-read the fix, it appears that you should already have these files included in your MCE 2005 roll up 2. Perhaps for you it might be a hardware issue? Is your processor/graphics card/memory size fast enough to deal with what you are doing - your memory of 512 MB seems a bit low. You will definitely see major improvements in general pc speed if you increase your memory size, although who knows if this will improve your FF & Rew.

Thanks for the info..ts files are slow on both my machines . Roll up 2 installed on both.therefore I have the same hardware fault on two machines!.
I have gone pack to deleting tve3 and using media portal rc1 which works fine but .ts files have the same ff/rewind problem. I have tried virtually all of the tve server releases and it has never worked properlly as far as I can see
    Anyway cheers for your reply

Hi Paul - I'm in the same boat - I ***LOVE*** TV Server but fwd / rwd has never worked for me on live or recorded TV (works well for other content).

It's not the end of the world for me - and I will continue to use TV Server but it's a nice to have.
