I had problems when going from one mpeg2 based channel like DR1 to DR HD (h264) etc.

Its planned by team to solve that issue?

Depends if it is a codec issue or issue with TsReader / MP. If someone uploads a timeshifting buffer content that can be used to reproduce the issue I'll have a look on the issue.

If that buffer should contain a shift from MPEG2 -> H.264 I'll be happy to do it after the weekend. I guess it doesn't matter if the playing of the buffer actually works, since the buffer is created nicely, right?

After all I just spend a few days nailing MY problems with TV ;)

Buffer should play nicely with the MS DTV-DVD codec, and it should contain the MPEG2 -> H.264 change.

    1) delete all timeshifting buffer files
    2) start watching MPEG2 channel (play for 10 seconds at least)
    3) change channel to H.264 one (play for 10 seconds at least)
    4) copy TS buffer files (this makes sure TVE3 doesn't delete those when stopping)
    5) figure out the correct TS file by playing the files inside my videos

No need to waste ur time on this since I already did this:

    ftp @ members/gibman/DR1-DRHD_channel_change_liveTV.ts

    900 megs mpeg->h264 channel change.

    (only for members obviously)

Hi tourettes i have interesting results of testing latest svn + your custom ts reader!
1 If i use in config MS codec then no zapping in any direction (sd to hd or vise versa). Picture freeze.
2 if i use in config MS for mpeg and PDVD9 for h264 then according to graph PDVD isnt used, mp uses MS codec for sd and hd. If i start a tv on hd channel then all works perfectly with ms codec no matter next zappings will be to hd or sd channels, but if i start a tv on sd channel then it lead to tv freeze when zap to hd and i need to stop tv and start it again.

    Upd!
reviewing the log ms+pdvd sd to hd.Log with a zap problem i dont see your pdvd patch which exists in ms+pdvd hd to sd.Log with perfect workong
I think as side effect u found a way to resolve the issue with ms codec
