thanks for your responce. I have tried version 0.5.1 with mediaportal 1.2.0 beta, but without succes.. I get an error.

I have placed the plugin file into the windows plugin directory, and the other one into the mediaportal installation folder.. Do I someting wrong?

Which error and when?

Do you have installed the official version 0.5.0 before? If yes, please post your mediaportal.log and IncompatiblePlugins.xml here, without this it is not possible to understand your problem.

PS. You do not need to install the common.utils.dll if you use MediaPortal v1.2.0beta, this is only required if you have older MediaPortal versions (see readme.txt in the plugin package).

Thanks for your responce.. When I only install the plugin without the Common.Utils.dll as you said, I get the folowing message in mediaportal configuration screen: Failed to locate assembly Common.Utils, version=1.1.7.0

When I use that dll file and put it in the mediaportal directory, I get this message: Failed to locate assembly 'Interop.WUApiLib, Version=2.0.0.0

I am using Mediaportal 1.2.0 beta, with streamedMP skin, and version UpdateControl v0.5.1 (SVN 1.1.7.27845).zip of your plugin.. Is that the right one?

I must expect, that your current installation is invalid or not up to date. The file common.utils.dll is a significant core component for the new version control system and is part of the latest distributed beta version.

When I use that dll file and put it in the mediaportal directory, I get this message: Failed to locate assembly 'Interop.WUApiLib, Version=2.0.0.0

As I said before: Please install the latest official version 0.5.0 before and copy the updated library manually after the installation has finished.

I did not install the 0.5.0 version first, so maybe that solve the problem..

Not yet. If you want to support me here, please take the english language file (normally c:\program data\team mediaportal\language\UpdateControl\strings_en.xml), translate it, reply and put it into your message as attachment.

Hi,

I installed this plugin the right way. First 0.5.0 then the update. I also installed the dutch language file. When I searched for a update, the program find them but when I want to install them I get a error: system runtime interopservices comexception . And when I want to clean up the temporary files then Mediaportal crashes. Is there a solution?

I use Windows 7 32-bit, Mediaportal 1.2.0 beta and streamedMP skin.
