Hi,

I installed this plugin the right way. First 0.5.0 then the update. I also installed the dutch language file. When I searched for a update, the program find them but when I want to install them I get a error: system runtime interopservices comexception . And when I want to clean up the temporary files then Mediaportal crashes. Is there a solution?

I use Windows 7 32-bit, Mediaportal 1.2.0 beta and streamedMP skin.

based on your statement it is hard to detect the problem. Do you have administrative rights on your machine? Do you have enabled UAC? The best way is to post your logs here, maybe then I can find a solution quicker.

I have all the rights I need. I tried it on a different computer and it also crash mediaportal when I want to cleanup temporary files. I search for the logs for the plugin but I cant find it. Where do I find the log?

Hello Joe Pizza,
this plugin doesn't have a separate log file, so please search for mediaportal.log and error.log file. These files can be found normally in your local directory c:\programdata\team mediaportal\mediaportal.
Before posting, please set the appropriate log level to "Error" and try to reproduce the malfunction.

If I take a look into this, I've found the following lines:

The problem occurs, because you don't have the expected rights for this folder. I've made small changes to the plugin, please download the updated version v0.5.2 from here.

i have a feature request. Can you build an status display with the percent of my updates in the OSD ? I click install the updates and go out of the plugin and watch, tv, movies or any else. Than i wish me an status display in the osd where i can see the status from the updates...

I seem to have an issue. I'm running the 1.2 beta, I have installed both the 5.0 and then the 5.2 patch of the Update Control. When I access the addon in media portal i can see the icons beside the updates but no text, i'm assuming it's just a font coloring issue or something.

Anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks been lurking around the forums and using MP for months now, but figured it was finally time to get an account and start asking some questions.

and i'm using the Default Wide skin atm. easier to troubleshoot plugins etc, on the included skin.

I did see that the included skin was for the Default mediaportal skin. But I assumed Default wide was the same just with a widescreen res. So I figured using the UpdateControl default skin in the defaultwide folder would work.
