Windows XP 64bit (1 Viewer)

Well, its my first post here, and have to start somewhere 
As I start to look to install MediaPortal, and want to install it on a WinXP64bit system....Why?
1. Driver support for Vista is pretty weak, and I have SkyWalker Genpix card.
2. I have pretty good system ready, that E8400 processor a full 8gig of memory in it.
So I really need/want to use a 64 bit system, and would prefer to use WinXP over Vista.
I see I can install it on the earlier version of 0.2.3.
Now does anyone know if after installing 0.2.3. If it upgradeable to the latest 1.0 RC3 release?

you can not upgrade from 0.2.3 to latest RC as the installer won't run.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the installer was still needed for upgrading from an existing version.
I'll give it a go with 0.2.3. for now, and then upgrade it later when/if the newer versions work with WinXP64bit systems.
Either that or look at seeing what I can learn to stop pressing F8 all the time to bypass the vista driver signature.
