    Hi again

I'm getting a little frustrated. I hope I don't need to start from scratch on this, but now things (channels for example, will not let me map them) seem worse then ever.
    :(
When you say mapping do you mean linking of channels to tuners, combining of identical channels into "super channels", or grouping channels into channel groups? I ask because I can see a couple of errors in your logs but they don't refer to mapping:

    2011-12-11 20:02:00.600987 [SetupTv(1)]: Exception :confused:ystem.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'.

    Parameter name: SelectedIndex

    at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.set_SelectedIndex(Int32 value)

    at SetupTv.Sections.TvCombinations.OnSectionActivated()

    at SetupTv.SetupTvSettingsForm.ActivateSection(SectionSettings section)

2011-12-12 20:04:21.309160 [SetupTv(1)]: xmltv data file was not found

    2011-12-12 20:04:21.309160 [SetupTv(1)]: plugin:xmltv import failed

    2011-12-12 20:04:21.309160 [SetupTv(1)]: Exception :confused:ystem.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\xmltv\tvguide.lst'.

    File name: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\xmltv\tvguide.lst'

    at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy)

at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share)

    at TvEngine.XmlTvImporter.ThreadFunctionImportTVGuide(Object aparam)

Is there any possibility of correcting this, can I easily reset things to default, or do I need to re-install the program?
Need further information about what you're actually doing. I've never see the first error before and the second error should be irrelevant (or solvable by unticking the tvguide.lst option in the XMLTV plugin).

    mm,

I tried different encoders. The ones you suggested are not available to me (that is why I was wondering about getting back to the default settings).

    Attached are the latest logs.

    Hi again

I think I've confused you by neglecting to mention that the codec settings that I was referring to are in MediaPortal configuration, not TV Server configuration. I'm talking about the settings in the "codecs and renderer" section on the "TV" tab.

    TV Codecs - MediaPortal Wiki

    :sorry:

To be very clear: codecs are decoders. They are configured in MP (which makes sense since it is MP that is showing you the video). Encoders are the things on the TV Server side which convert the analog signals on the inputs of the tuner to digital 1's and 0's that can be stored and manipulated in a PC.
