Work on MyLyrics stopped (1 Viewer)

I usually stick to my decisions but I just couldn't abandon this project, so sunday I gave it another shot and found a solution to my latest problem. After some refactoring I was once again able to work in debug mode. Yippie!

However I still think that it sucks that we as plugin developers aren't notifed about the intern changes in the core that affects our work. I don't want to blame the hard working core team for the lack of information that we get, since I know how much effort and work the lay into this project, but they should consider to ease the development on existing plugin projects in the future. E.g. I have asked several times for a login/pw to the MP core Subversion repository to have a look on what I'm codiing up against but haven't got access yet. That would be the least... just my two cents.

Well... back to the plugin. I have already implemented some new features in the configuration section that will make the search for a section of lyrics easier. I plan to support the search for lyrics of a specific artist present in the database, so you will be able to find lyrics for e.g. the new Radiohead album without searching the whole music database for lyrics in advance.

Absolutely Fantastic News. Now all we need is for more skinners to integrate the access to this plug in into "Now Playing" a la Revision/Replicant and this marvellous plugin will receive the accolades it deserves. Well done and thanks Mackey

I have asked several times for a login/pw to the MP core Subversion repository to have a look on what I'm codiing up against but haven't got access yet.

Do you mean the SVN at SourceForge or is there another repository?

AFAIK the one at SourceForge allows anonymous read-only access.

For some strange reason I couldn't update from the SVN. I was continued asked for valid user-id and password. I had and still have no problem accessing the plugins SVN. hwarhmann helped me and everything is good.

Could I make a request mackey, when I press escape or back (on MCE remote), My Lyrics defaults to a home menu, could you change it to go back to the previous window? Reason I ask, I've added buttons to My Lyrics on various music screens in my skins and the plugin always goes back to the menu and not the "real" previous screen. Thanks.

Wow ! I have just discovered this plugin, installed it on 0.2.3.0 RC3 and it works great ! I am amazed by its speed and the number of lyrics found. It really adds value to our HTPC. I am glad there is still some future for this plugin, Hooray for Mackey !
