Hi scorpie,
... strange strange, here in Germany it shows the sun icon, but its night here and for Sydney where it is day now it shows the moon ...
I'm absolute unsure, what you are doing and how your complete system is working. I had test the configuration and your weather profile (which each supported provider!) from your post above and I'm not able to reproduce this issue. See my attached screenshots as evidence.

Cheers, Micropolis

Dear community,
after my intensive tests today, please find release candidate 2 of WorldWeather v1.0.5 at the first post of this thread.
The following changes has been made:
  • fix image cache problem for geo clock
  • fix for possible weather icon issue (@scorpie: please retest)
  • add verification flag to location dialog box (a visual indicator shows, if the location fulfills the required weather provider parameter for selected current/forecast provider)
  • remove consolidation functionality for location dialog box to prevent side effects with "Add location wizard" and "Add manual location wizard"
  • updated dutch language file (thx to powermarcel10), minor changes to language files
Additionally to these changes, WorldWeather Lite (see Area 51 thread here) has been updated to v0.2.5.

Cheers, Micropolis

Dear community,
the complete and over the whole weekend continued test cycle has been closed now successfully.
Until now, I haven't seen any RC related test results or reports. I'm not sure, if this is a good sign (no errors or showstoppers exists) or a bad sign (the motivation for testing is low). Because I think in this case positive, I assume that the publication of the next stable release can be take place in the near future. The deadline for error related comments is wednesday of next week.

Cheers, Micropolis

Here is what I found testing 1.0.5 under MP 1.2.3 with DefaultWide skin. Most appear to be skin-related. I will try again with 1.3.0RC when it's released.
    1. If I enable all 12 possible Weather Images, they don't all fit on the screen (see 09-51-43.png). If I scroll down through the images, the 11th (which is partly on screen) displays, but the 12th (which is completely off-screen) does not. Instead the cursor returns to the top of the list and the first image is displayed (e.g. Zürich in my attached configuration).
    2. The graphic images in the hourly view do not align correctly with the cells in the table (see 15-06-58.png)
    3. If the first weather image (default "World") is disabled, no image shows until one has scrolled down to the first enabled image in the list (e.g. London in my attached configuration).
    4. I have tried various settings of the zoom factor for weather maps, but don't see any effect.
    5. If the provider settings (apparently stored in MediaPortal.xml) are changed while MP is open, and MP is not immediately restarted, they are not stored. Since MP configuration warns that a restart is needed, I would expect them to be stored and to become active on the next start of MP. In fact, ISTR seeing this behaviour for other settings which are stored in MediaPortal.xml. If this is not possible, I would at least expect a message to that effect.
Thanks again for your great plugin!

    Hi rsbrux,
thank you very much for your help and detailed problem report.

These things are skin related and does not describe a misbehavior of the plugin itself. @catavolt: Do you have the time to support me for the next stable version?

    1. If the first weather image (default "World") is disabled, no image shows until one has scrolled down to the first enabled image in the list (e.g. London in my attached configuration).
The behavior is partially a skin problem and maybe a plugin issue. Currently I have not found a solution to "click" the first image code-sided.

    1. I have tried various settings of the zoom factor for weather maps, but don't see any effect.
OpenStreetMap (your current map provider) has changed the API call silently and my automated tests does'nt found this issue. After closer inspection it was possible to fix this quickly.

I'm not completely sure about your test workflow, but I suspect, that the settings cache was not flushed correctly. This has been fixed now.

    Cheers and thank you, Micropolis

    Dear community,
as announced before, I'm proud to present you the next stable release of WorldWeather.

This version contains a lot of enhancements and new functionalities, the highlights can be found in the following overview:

    • add weather provider support for "PreviMeteo" and "Weather2"
    • change provider order to synchronize lite/full version (Foreca is default provider now)
    • enhancements regarding automatic IP and city location detection
    • improvements to weather location wizards
    • add visual verification to location selection dialog box
    • fixes for zodiac calculation routines, next daylight calculation, sunshine calculation, URL for OpenWeatherMap, invalid Foreca condition code, image cache problem for geo clock and more
    • update of language files (thx to powermarcel10)
    • switch to new WAN IP provider
    • as a goodie I have added analog clock support to display location time

To support some of the new functionalities, the following optional skin related changes are necessary:
    • add image "recommended.png" to skin media folder
    • add image “clock.png” to WorldWeather specific skin media folder
    • add optional image control ID 60 to display analog clock (important: due to skin engine related restrictions, this control can be displayed on the condition page only)

    Important notes for this version:
    • Due to changes concerning provider order, it is highly recommended to check your current and forecast provider settings before opening the WorldWeather GUI window.
    • In case you have use WorldWeather Lite before, please deinstall it before upgrading to this version.
    • In the last minute I've seen, that the implemented WAN IP provider has shutdown the services. Because of this, older versions of WorldWeather doesn't have the chance anymore to detect your IP location. To use this feature in the well known form, please install the new version or update the library Micropolis.MPCore.dll manually.

Please take a look into the attached manual or included skins for more information.

Thanks to all contributors, translators and testers for support, cheers and best regards
    Micropolis

One problem I found is that when the computer wakes up from standby I get a popup stating that I have no internet connection.
I have the option to refresh after resume enabled.
Maybe the refresh happens to early when network is not ready yet after resume?
Possibly a delay of the refresh after wakeup would cure it.

    Cheers.
