Wrong color level useing VMR9 fullscreen since 0.2RC1 (2 Viewers)

1. Install nVIDIA PureVideo
2. Reboot
3. Start MP (not MP Setup)
4. go to "setup" or "Installation" (in german meens "Einstellungen")
5. go to DVD, Video, TV and change the video codec to nVIDIA
6. press ALT+ENTER (for windowed screen of MP)
7. go to TV => in the taskbar you see the nVIDIA icon ?

Done 1-6. Don't get a Nvidia icon in taskbar though... What can be wrong?

1. have you disable inactive icons in taskbar options?

2. have you only tested with TV?
please test with DVD and Video too. Sometimes the nVIDIA icon don't show in one of these.

Was this fixed? I have seen a couple of divx-es lately, and they all seem to be proper black level?

I am interested to know if this is due to a MP bug fix, or me updating nvidia drivers or something...

I didn't get any statement to this problem from the testers or developers

Did you try the latest nvidia drivers?

have a read of this thread - seems like if you install the 84.12 drivers you can force vmr9 to output pc levels instead of video levels:

I hope as well it gets fixed in mediaportal directly, workarounds are such a pain... especially when using ffdshow, i cannot resume video playing => black screen freeze :-(
