I "currently working" on modifications of the brilliant x-factor skin. Now it's time to show the community something about it.
Since december I created together with an friend several new things occasionally. We are no IT sepcialist and we do not have much time but we like the skin and the ideas. I hope other like it too...
It would be fantastic if there are further x-factor users like me, who could help to reactivate more activities for this skin. (Like in the years 2009/2010). It would be fantastic to create as additon to the current offical x-factor design 1 or 2 alternate designs. Cul8er could certainly add it as subskin to the installer?
In my opinion the combination of x-factor configurator and the concept of basichome screen is (one of) the best one. Therefore I'm homping that x-factor has an future.:)

All started with the a new listview desgin. I didn't like the "uninformative" center style layout of the original theme.
Till yet we created alternate designs for movingpictures, tvseries, onlinevideo, and the standart music. For this plugins listview is full optimized (because we use it primarily). In parts coverflow is updated too but like the others views there is still something to do... In addition we also changed several little things like fonts and parts of the basichome screen. For basichome is still a bit work too (a weather preview instead of the newsfeed on the buttomline, while focus weathermenu, and updates for music latest media), but it's mostly completed. We don't have enough time due family life;) to develop alternate designs for all plugins. For pictures, infoservice, mvCentral and worldweather it's idented to create something new (TV too, but we don't really use it often).

All who like our ideas and would work on further adaptations with us should PM me. Thru image design on photoshop there are any files we didn't put in the project. This files could be used for an other alternate style. Our design is white / blue dominated. A black / blue variant is also possible...

When the other views for the stated plugins are optimized we will release the modificaton "as soon as possible".
    We're interested in any feedback!

Here is the first official release of x-factor2 modfication which I call ProjectX. (to ensure xfactor2 editor and the personal basichome menu works, it was nessesary to rename the skin to "xfactor2")
This version is updated to use it for MediaPortal 1.4 Pre Release! Screenshots are find in the first thread.

The Modification included next to standart xfactor xml's and updates for MP 1.4 following modifications:
    - BasicHome + latestmedia/recently added MovingPictures
    - Movingpictures
    - TVvseries
    - Onlinevideo
    - Standart music
    - several small things like time and currentmodule informations.
For all listed plugin are listview, coverview and filmstrip optimized/modificated. The other 2 views needs to rework.

Except several little x-factor2 bugs (p. ex. the player overlay while watching episodes via TV Series) we already knew and intend to solve it's also planned to optimize pictures, infoservice, mvCentral and worldweather and maybe TV. On Basichome we need to modificate latestmedia/recently added especially for TV Series, Music and a weather preview instead of the newsfeed on the buttomline, while focus weathermenu.

Feedback is welcome. We're interessted on your ideas!
If there is someone who like this skin like me who could help... that would be great :) (send a PM). The modifications aren't to hard. U only need a bit time. I'm no informatics specialist I just only try it...

I have some problems with fonts. Smallest than ususual and, in case of TV Guide , the combination is unreadeable ( it´s impossible to read anything) because black and red it´s a no good combination. Maybe I ´ve got any problem during installation.

mmh didn't really changed something for the TV Section because I do not use it just now. What's about the official xfactor2 skin, is/was there this problem too?
about the fonts. It's possible that u miss some of the fonts on u system I added to the skin?!. I'll create a further mpe File later this weeks with all fonts and some little changes....
