    Hi spaceyoyo,

I'll send you that program in a couple of days. A (happy) family emergency has pulled me away from my dev computer

Captainspanky - i'm using your profile for firefly (Thx!!!!) but have a few problems: is it possible (tried, but couldn't make it work) to map the maximize button top left to maximize screen e.g to make visualisation in music go fullscreen (and back)???

Related issue - when i'm playing music the screen blanks out after a while, and the only thing that'll turn it on again is if i start TV or video... pressing button on keyboard also helps - tried mapping maximize button to X - no luck there either... Suggestions???

    Thx...

I puchased a Medion computer (ALDI) version, running Windows Vista Home Premium that came in shipped with an X10 remote. I installed MP on the machine (sure beats the MCE that was included in the Vista system) but one of the problems I had, which was also visible from other users using this remote was that it would either not work, or only half with MP. Also, the so-called "green button" always kept linked to the MCE application.

Yesterday, I managed to get the full extend of my remote operational, including the green button staring MP rather than MCE. I also have set up my system to play MP3+G karaoke files, using a plugin for DirectX that then allows you to start the CDG file, which is just a video-like synchronized sing-along lyrics of the MP3 that is playing. One of the problems I face here was that the file started, but only showed up on the screen in the mini-view left corner.

A nice Girder-like piece of software to which I found a reference on the board, helped me accomplish the lot, without having to uninstall any of the drivers.

I just changed the settings for my remote in the comtrol panel to accept incoming events only from a channel that was not the same as my remote, then switched off all the remote plugins in MP and installed EVENTGHOST:

    http://www.eventghost.org/wiki/EventGhost:About

The software learned all the keys I pressed and with simple "Emulate Keystroke" events, using the keys that are visible in the general settings tab in the MP Configuration app.

Hope this cen be of use.
