I can almost guarantee you that the Randomize part doesnt work. Think I spent 2 hours trying to get it working :-/

... @TSMOTW: Could you send me the .psd files for the basic home buttons? I want to make a custom one with emulators and games.

Attached are the psd's for the menu. Yeah i know skinning isn't easy , but it will be easier over time. I read somewhere there was a skin editor, but it's outdated. The same for the mediaportal refresh plugin. So it's editing and open up MP, then close it edit open it, etc.

Thanks patrick for clearing up the randomize issue, hopefully the developers will implement it.

I have reworked the basic home menu to include games('my programs') and 'my emulators'. I replaced my tv with my games(programs) and "play dvd" with "my emulators". I got the my programs menu working to some extent, Its not perfect, but it works^^ Visually its all working, its just one of the buttons I cant get to work but I never use it so it doesn't matter. The 'my emulator' screen cant be linked to from basic home for now because of a conflict with 'my alarm'. I posted in the emulator thread asking if the author could solve the conflict, so for now that part doesn't work.

Also I changed the boldness of the frame around the banners in TV-Series so its easier to see whats selected(was almost impossible on my TV). However I want to change the color of episodes that are unwatched, but I couldnt get it working after changing loads of settings, so instead I hope Spuck can tell me =)

I can upload the stuff I did here if anybody wants it, but Ive changed some paths for it to be more tidy. I created two new folders named games and emulators to store backgrounds in, so thats required to get it working.

Been missing for a while and I have to confess that I am definitely lost with the thread. Can someone make a all-inclusive rar with the right install and the updates, please ? It would be great and very helpfull. Anyway, I am very impressed by all the excellent work done since I started this post. Bravo to all the contributors.

Dare if you could post your changes that would be amazing! i would be very interested in getting to see what you have done to the skin to make it that much nicer!! it is slowly becomming useable

Ok what ive done:

Basichome:
- Changed 'TV' to 'GAMES' (My programs)
- Changed 'PLAY DVD' to 'EMULATORS'
- Removed the "play dvd" text that was placed in the upper left corner at all times.

General:
- Fixed the yes/no dialog so it fits with the skin.

My programs:
- Created a skinfile that fits the skin better.

TV-Series:
- I Redid the season screen and the episode screen to a layout inspired by the way it was done in monochrome. In the main screen ive only made it easier to see what series is selected.

Emulators:
- Created a skinfile that fits the skin better.

Notes:
- I also changed the video OSD but since I just "stole" Harleys gfx to do that I wont post it.
- You have to put some game/emulator images in 'xephyr\media\animations\games' and '..\animations\emulator' in order to get backgrounds in those menu entries.
- I don't know if this will work for you, and it might mess up your xephyr install(tho I doubt that will happen, you have been warned).
- If this for some reason doesnt work for you then tell me what doesnt work(post screens) and Ill try to look into it. I think Ive gotten all .xml and gfx files needed in the zip, but something might be missing.

edit: If you look at the screen shot of the games screen you see the "play dvd" icon in the upper left corner, that was removed after the screen shot was taken. Its not there anymore.

EDIT 24.12:
- Emulator now works from basic home. The author fixed the ID problem
- Redid TV-Series
- Uploaded a xml file for emulators.
- minor fix to my programs file.

Not included is a remake of my videos that is aimed at making listview better. It works the same way as when you browse my music, you get the preview of the selected item on the right hand. But I think most people use filmstrip view so I wont include it in the zip. If anybody wants it just let me know.

Adobe photoshop does the job at least. Not sure if there are any free alternatives.

Regarding my changes I don't think TSMOTW should include my alternative basic home menu because a lot of people use TV/DVD in MP and my mod makes those options less available. My mod is perfect for those who doesn't have TV, and/or use games/emulators. What he could do of course is to add my menu entries to basic home, but I think it will get very flooded(there's a lot of stuff there all ready)
