Have I got my settings wrong?

Check out the original image on the xface front page to see the difference

xFace on the front page is used as designed with its original widescreen resolution.

You however as mentioned a few times in this thread are using a smaller resolution. As your cover still uses the correct aspect ratio it is scaled down leaving the gaps at top and bottom (although due to the reflection it isn't that obvious there).

Is it possible to a mytvguide.xml file that only displays 6 channels for Australia? The xml file that comes with the mutvguide plugin doesn't cooperate with Xface ;(

Not 100% certain what you are asking, but here is the original TVguide.xml which has 6 lines in epg.

Harley, you forgot the sheduled recordings page again...
And you have done something on the recorded tv page, but it does not seem complete.. ?
Since the sliding menue is open once I open that page. (could be because I have a slight underscanned 720P display, think its 1250x699 or something...)
And the current layout does not look anything like he rest of the skin.
The recording texture looks too high compared the the rest..

I like the new graphics though, very nice on the nowplaying-stuff when playing music
And I love the new icon and tumbviews

Uhm most bugs unfortunately remain:

-NEW bug: the sensible area on the big icons in the bottom is so big that clicking on the scrolling arrows often triggers my music instead, this is for list and filmstrip views. you intended for those to disappear, but something is not correct in the area you put in the code.
-arrows to scroll in icons/big icons (filmstrip fixed) view still grayed out and not working when you put the mouse over them
-volume controls still dont work with mouse. To explain better, when i click on the volume control if i move the mouse over the central button to reach the lower volume button, it has already changed back to the play/rw/ff and i cant!
-mylyrics menu and button to show lyric missing in "now playing" screen. i noticed that it's loaded in plugins now (which i dont like, i want it only as button within the now playing screen, like most people i guess).
-tvseries topbar fixed, but the mouseover the episode list sill not trigger the highlited buttons. The season art is positioned smaller but still overlaps onto the episode text. Personally i would prefer a smaller list and a bigger part for the episode description.
-clicking on the now playing minitv gives a black screen to me. Dunno if related to xface. This even for music (?)

Improvements that I would like to see (mostly for usability/WAF):
- Scroll icons in the description for i.e movies, tvseries.
- Tooltips over all buttons. Expecially the home, close and power off. Once i powered off my pc instead of closing MP
-The scrolling arrows should be replaced. Up/down is reverted (I noted this not only in your skin)
-Replace the term "Shares" with "Folders". I really dont like shares is like we are all P2P users
-Loop the filmstrip view to restart after the last item.
