Probably not Xface question but as this great skin is the only one i would consider using so I'll post it here.

Love the Filmstip view for music but when i select an album and see the list of songs/tracks I would like to see them automatically in List view so I can see the full title as Filmstip view is not very good at showing titles.

Is there any way of automatically switching from Filmstrip to List view when entering an album?

    Thanks

    P.S. Great skin
You can achieve this using the music database and database views (Configuration app --> Music --> Music views). There, you can select the view style.

You will have to use a database view for that and then it works like a charm. You should select Switch View and then e.g. Album you might already get a similar behaviour.

For customization to your personal preference go to the configuration, Music / Music Views and set up a view as you like. Just define your browsing preferences and tell MP how to display each level. Sample for you might be:

    Selection ViewAs Sort By
    album Filmstrip Name
    title List Track

Using database view you can achieve that, but i prefer to use the folder view because i've all my music tagged and organized using a folder for each album, the problem with database view are the genres, i prefer much more my own classification to locate the music. I've sent a PM to hwahrmann and he has said me that after the stable release this feature could be added to MP. That way, you can have a default view for folders and another one for files (mp3, etc)

First off, thanks for such a beautiful/clean skin. It's definitely the best solution for me thus far.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get the "My Tv Series" Icon/Button image changed. The picture on the right side for TV Series (hover_my tv series.png) shows up correctly, but the image next to the text still has the 'my plugins' picture. Any idea how I can change these out? Is there some XML file that states what PNG file to display?

    Thanks in advance.

Why doesn't the skin creator answering our questions ?
I posted 5 questions 2 weeks ago and no reply till now.

I think the fonts size is too small for a T.V, maybe its good for working with a PC monitor but Media Portal designed to work on a TV and not on a PC monitor.

xFace has been built as an "high end" skin for HTPC usage. There's no font size that fits all users but even on a small 32" TFT it is useable. You might be right however with Full-HD displays of this size - but those are just plain marketing bullshit as your angle of sight wouldn't allow to see the resolution difference at normal watching distance...

I'm using the xFace skin on my 16:9 TV (TV! not LCD or whatever), so -for best results- I have to use 720x576 resolution. No problems with the font.

Using 800x600 or 1024x768 isn't useful on TV... for no skin.

You should be able to add an image named button_my tv series.png to the media directory and that will take the place of the generic icon. I think that will work, but I'm not positive.

I've tried that, no luck. Deleted the skin cache folder as well. Any other ideas?
