i have detected a bug in the music playlist screen. if you go to the lower half of the playlist and press the "left" key, then the cursor jumps to the visualisation and stands there.
you can only go back by pressing escape and then start the playlist screen again.

IIRC you could also press "down" or something like that...

i know this...

but when the focus is on the visualisation window you can´t get out of it until you press escape...

Cover Problem

The skin is awesome but I have one problem,

When I click on videos and select "view -> cover" then the covers are not stretched through the whole folder, they are only 50% of the folder.

Any ideas?

I am a newbie so I have a very basic questions
How does one get those cool dvd cover images in there?

Option1: Enter MP config: Go to Movies: Movie database: Search trough your movie folder. This takes a while the first time, but it will find most of your movies if they are names correctly.

Option2: Find the movie you want a cover for and click "more" or "info" on your MCE remote to get the option to search IMDB(its nr3 on the list).

Option3: Find the cover on the net (www.impawards.com is a great site) and put it in the folder of the movie you want a cover too. Rename it to "folder.jpg".

Going to the IMDB page for a movie INSIDE MediaPortal will most times give you many options to use as coverart, the default image is always the shittiest which sucks, but I've never been desperate enough to go searching out coverart on the net rather than just choosing from one MP downloaded for me =)

Not a bug, just for personal preferences:

I would like to edit the font size for the front page submenues (weather, news etc) since if the words are too long it goes outside the button and looks bad. What part of what .xml do I edit?

If it's just fonts.xml it would be very handy if you could choose fontsize depending on tv size/resolution with just having a couple of fonts.xml to drop into your folder for testing.

I have a 42" @ 720p, so I have no problems reading (way too big) what earlier looked "just about right" (good) on my old 32" @ 1024x768.

Alternative Basic Home Screen

Thanks Harley for such an amazing skin again! By far the most professional skin to be produced for MP yet in my opinion. I particularly like the music section and the way the menu is hidden to show all albums.

The one thing I don't particularly like though was the basichome screen. I prefer static images rather than the spin effect. So I've altered the files so that the the icons stay in one place and that they are highlighted when you select (like your earlier skins).

If anyone wants to use my files they are below. Check out the screenshot first. You need to put the basichome file in the xface folder and the png files in xface/media.
