Hello, new to this forum and new to mp.
Really like this skin, but didn't like the way the current view label overlapped other graphics in tvseries, so i sat down and fixed it myself.

Here's how it looks out of the box.

old.jpg

I moved the label and arrows to the left side of the screen, like this

new.jpg

It looks way better this way imo.

I have attached the tvseries.xml and tvseries_BarBackBottom.png for your convenience.
Remember to delete the skincache folder.

Does anyone know how to make the focus video in Film Strip view always be the video in the middle of the screen (rather than it moving left / right as it does now)? I am looking for something similar to the carousel used on amazon.com.

As you can see my post with the updated reference.xml was deleted by a forum moderator. As a disclaimer I should have been mentioning that this will only fix the warning message and not the incompatibilities which have been introduced.

    grubi.

Could you post it again, with disclaimer ?

The problem with this is, have no objection to someone doing it for themselves as its quite easy to edit the reference.xml to the updated release, but this is a hack and really would prefer the skin authors themselves to update any neccessary files.

If not we end up with files all over the place (bad enough now), that could totally confuse, especially to anyone new to MP.

    Regards

Added left scrolling to the text if it got to long to fit between the two arrows.

Attached is updated tvseries.xml and the edited tvseries_BarBackBottom.png

As I have also posted the changes necessary to stay in sync with the current svn (changes to myweather.xml) it maybe okay to post it again but as I'm not sure I will not do this. Maybe someone who is entitled to do this can post it? :sorry:

This is correct BUT why was this file deleted and every other single file is still there ? Should we wait for months until a new release appears to fix it ?

There are rumours about an SVN of X-Face... I never found it and questions about it weren't answered and I don't even know if the fixes that appear every few posts are submitted there but this would be the way to do.

So, to let everyone know, here is what you have to do about the "outdated" message (fear not, this is no .xml post :p)

Open the "references.xml" in a text-editor and change this line (should be number 6)
    Code:
    		<version>0.2.3.0</version>

    to this
    Code:
    		<version>0.9.2.0</version>
