but please add dialog on mouse over text, for explain, " this hours should be 24 default, but can be increased for more delay on base 24 hours : 3 days = 24 x 3 = 72h, or decreased, but verify the XMLTV server for not overcharge it "
You can set any value between 1 hour and 336 hours (14 days). The increment is 1 hour, not 24.

Question : this setting work also if PC is shutdown ?
example : i have set 7 days between grabbing
    Monday : Grabbing XML
    Tue : PC OFF
    Wed : PC OFf
    Thur : PC Off
    Friday : PC On
    Saturday ; PC ON
    Sunday : PC On
the grabb restart the next monday ?
Yes, the next grab would be on Monday.

XMLTV plugin will not start/wake the PC.
If the PC is off then the XMLTV plugin cannot do anything.
When the PC + TV service are started, XMLTV plugin will obey the grabbing rules.

    Example:
    1. Set 7 days between grabbing.
    2. Select "when the TV service starts or resumes".
    3. Grab on Monday at 5:05 PM.
    4. PC off Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues.
    5. PC wake/on Wed at 11:45 AM => grab will start straight away, and next grab after that will be next Wednesday at the same time.

the schedule store the previous days in DB ?
    Yes.

Sure, 24h is for me the default.
    limited to 14 days ? why ( stupid question ), better 30 days ? no ?

but thank you for your big effort, on TVE, i'm really happy to your work.

If the limit is set to 30 days, that means:
    • guide data available for 30+ days
    • guide data accurate for 30+ days
I have never encountered such a "perfect" guide source. ;)
Nevertheless, I will increase the limit to 28 days (4 weeks).

    yes, me too
but it's more for an "conventional" delay, quasi 1 month. it's good

Question : you don't have planned in near future to :
Channel was not mapped by XMLTV are set automaticaly for read EPG from stream.

Can we have linebreaks back for the description tag, please!?
The XMLTV DTD explicitly says the description can have long whitespace and new lines:
    http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xmltv/xmltv/xmltv.dtd

However I wonder how this would affect other people.

BTW, you know how you asked about having this:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...acy-guide-problems.127138/page-4#post-1096149

I'm now thinking I to remove that function completely. Better that the skin shows all the fields that are available in the DB than combining everything into the title and description.

I don't think that is the right way. A skin is not that customizable by a normal user, especially in MP2.
And other clients (Android, Apple...) are not customizable at all.

It is true that skins have limited customisation, but why would you need to customise them? The skin has no reason to not show all the data. In short I expect you would get to see all the details that are available... and skins will be able to lay it out more clearly and neatly, with graphics for the star rating and classification etc. Surely that would be much better than clumsily merging all the fields into the program description.

It is unfortunate that we have no way to prove this, but I would bet quite a lot of money that almost nobody knows about or uses that function anyway... especially since it only works with DVB EPG.

Sorry but I think my mind is made up...

And when your EPG-provider does not deliver all that info, you get an ugly skin with spaces here and there...

On the one hand you ask for space not to be removed from the description, and on the other you tell me you think skin with space is ugly. That seems inconsistent...

Looking at the default wide skin, I'd say there is plenty of room for extra information:

...but maybe we have to agree to disagree.
