Hey CyberSimian you nailed it! Looks like the secret is:- After EPG Collector has Run and provided the TVGuide.xml Open MediaPortal - TV Server Configuration "Force Import" on the Plugins/Xmltv/General dialogue, (ignore the status) Go to the Mappings dialogue and Load/Refresh and Save a Group - (It does not appear to matter which group but as long as you see the channels you want you are golden) After Save the TV Server Configuration must be re-cycled When it has re-started "Force Import" on the Plugins/Xmltv/General dialogue and after a while the status changes and shows programs imported Jump up and shout expletives and phrases like "At Last" and "I don't believe it!" Calm down and continue with the set up, smile at the people who think you have just lost your marbles You can then return to mappings, load the group you are using and sort out the correct channel identifications in the mappings, (e.g. in South East ITV1 is channel 21015 for correct guide data) I do not know how I managed to get it to work the first time all those years ago, must have been a fluke that I saved the initial channel names and ignored the status that showed no programme data. It is the initial start that caught me out by not importing the programme data, so I did not bother to save the mapping, and I ended up going around in circles. I guess the failsafe method would be to collect All Channels with EPG Collector and work on the "All Channels" Group and do the Re-Cycle of the TV Server Configuration before setting up the actual guide group to be used. The only downside is that with FreeSat it takes ages to collect and process all the channels It's so easy when you know how:rolleyes: Thank you for your help, I can now sleep p.s. The reason I took so long getting back was that there is a problem in the latest EPG Collector V040332 install, (Picture attached) and it took me ages faffing around trying to fix it until I saw a reddit discussion about it with recommendation to use V040331, then everything went well
