Hey all,

I was wondering if there's some XMLTV test data available? I myself regulary import belgian and UK xmltv data, but to stress-test an XMLTV parser it would be interesting to try it out with as much real data as possible, from as many different countries and sources as possible.

In case there's no easy source of test files like these, are there (enough) people here to provide some test files?

Not sure... I think they have propriety hardware. They also provide the XML download service, which is what I used for this data.

Anyone else (not from Australia) that could provide some test data?

Thanks!

Hmmm... At first glance seems to work fine in my own importer, so not sure why MediaPortal doesn't like your file. Must be something subtle. If I find something more I'll get back to you.

Thanks for the test file in any case! You too digidog!

XMLTV file

looks like mediaportal is importing the channels, but the program information is skipped.

In the mean time I imported your entire file without problems in my own importer. However, I did notice it does not provide a lot of "rich" information. Basically, all that's there is the program times, title and description. Not even a subtitle (episode title) for series, aspect ratio, or anything else.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and make your file richer? Perhaps that's why the MediaPortal importer is rejecting it?

Especially a subtitle is kinda important (if available of course). This could help a scheduler offer a much better series scheduling algorithm.

BTW, I also noticed all of the 13347 TV programs in your file where present six times(!). Was this on purpose? Or is there a bug in my importer? :)
